Happy 2nd Blog Birthday!

To think I started this blog two years ago! I almost can’t believe it. I actually thought it’d been three years (my my) but it’s really not been that long at all.

Perhaps it’s fitting that (though unintentional*) the blogaversary lies around Thanksgiving in the USA. So I Thank You Readers for coming here and reading the words I write. I really do hope my reviews are helpful to you in making your own endeavours or at least my words have brought you some speck of amusement.

While I do post much more sporadically than I initially did, I don’t plan to neglect this blog completely! Keep your eyes peeled for a Comexim review – possibly early 2016 but don’t hold your breaths for reviews of the Cleo Hattie bikini and Panache Holly one-piece swimsuit. I got them several months ago and the largest body of water I’ve encountered since then are the puddles formed by the heavy UK rain. You can see the Cleo bikini on my Bratabase account. If you would like any reviews of their fit regardless of any field tests please let me know and I would be happy to comply.

Once again, Thank You for reading this blog of mine. May we have a good year ahead 🙂

*Edited to correct typo. Took me 2 months to notice!

Buttons and Snap

I almost can’t believe it. I never envisioned myself liking a button-up shirt this much. What I’m talking about is the Sicilia from DD-Atelier in red and grey.

Sicilia RG1
One of the buttons is a snap-on button. I think DD-Atelier has a love affair with them.

Basic T-shirts for Summer and also BOOBS

**EDIT: Slight blurry pictures added!

[With what feels like ages since my last post I have become a bit lax in my grammar. Please forgive me for my laziness. Plus I just wanted to get my thoughts out here so no pictures for now but perhaps I’ll add them in later when I can actually take some decent ones.]

The temperatures in the UK have been rising and my wardrobe has been shamefully inadequate in dealing with it. So to tackle this I got four basic t-shirts from DD-Atelier and the Lucy from BiuBiu.

BlueGreen Ivory Lilac Lucy

I got the basic t-shirts in blue, green, ivory and lilac in 34F-H. They’re rather stretchy so I could have gotten them in a 34D-F instead but for now I just wear my front-and-out bras. I never knew I could be so entranced by a basic t-shirt yet I am! I really like the v-shaped neckline and of course, the way it fits my torso without just draping down from the boobs. The colours have been a good way to introduce some brightness to my clothes. However I would wear a nude bra underneath if I were wearing the ivory top on its own – I have no nude bra so that’s a no go. So I’m going to wait until I get a nude bra (or the closest match to my skin) or wait until cooler weather (a virtual certainty!) to wear the ivory top. The composition of these t-shirts are 90% cotton and 10% lycra so they’re not too thin for the windier summer days and they’ve not been too thick for the current weather.*

A short Thank You…

for this year for it’s a Happy 1st Birthday for PlainJaneVanilla!

Perhaps Happy 1st Postday should be more fitting – that’s how you count blog birthdays right? – but let us not fret over technicalities for this Plain Jane has been spreading vanilla-ness for one whole year!

First of all, I would like to pen my surprise that it’s been one year – kudos to me for sticking it out! When I started this blog I thought maybe to post at least once a month which I’d like to say I’ve stuck to but certainly it has its difficulties. However, I do resolve to keep this blog alive for quite a while. For at the end of the day, I can always come here and just type and focus on things other than life.

What astounds me the most is that people actually read this blog. To think that there are people who perhaps enjoy my reviews, the way I write or even curious about how this journey plays out. I am still at that stage where I will check my stats at least daily because just one view thrills me. I love seeing the countries of where you, my readers, are from and seeing how wide and varied they are. I truly hope that this blog has helped you, in some small way. So Thank You, whether you’re a longtime reader or if this is the first post you’ve ever read, I am most grateful.
